Five vibrant fashion trends to try this season

Let's play with colour. Spring trends in centre now.

Spring has officially arrived—and with sunnier days ahead, it’s the ideal time to brighten up your wardrobe. This season, we’re saying goodbye to dull and seeking bold as we welcome a plethora of vibrant hues to the centre.

Our stores are abundant with new season arrivals full of colour, creativity and, of course, fun! We double-dare you to up the fun-factor by adding pieces that spark joy—think high-saturation ensembles, holiday-inspired looks, and modern silhouettes.

Ready to dive into feel-good fashion? We’re here to give you the insider insight with the top new trends to try this season.

1. Unexpected bold colour
For an instant dopamine-hit, simply add colour! Vibrant palettes are making a splash this season with supercharged reds, Yves Klein blues, and limoncello yellows making big waves. Our Barbie-inspired obsession also isn’t going anywhere with magenta pieces and soft pastels infused into new season drops throughout the centre. We’re loving the high-saturation pieces available at Adidas and Supre, as well as the punchy hues currently in store at Uniqlo. If you're a bit of a colour novice, try paring back a bold colour with neutral tones or denim, so that colour is the focus and the other hues balance and complement your look.

2. Athleisure meets fashion
If you thought athleisure had already had its time in the sun, think again. Sport-inspired pieces are here to stay this season with new style staples dropping in stores. New Balance sneakers in pastel or neutral tones are trending in a big way, perfect for pairing with relaxed denim for an effortless look. We’re loving the colourways available at Footlocker. Classis Adidas Sambas are also having a moment with styles selling out at record speed (though if you get in quick, you may be able to nab a pair from Adidas!). The lines between activewear and street fashion are becoming increasingly blurred, with elevated sport-meets-street pieces adorning the walls Rebel, Cotton On, and Uniqlo.

3. Low-waisted, loose silhouettes
We’re seeing a high rise in low-rise silhouettes—it’s appearing in everything from ultra-cool cargo pants and denim maxi skirts, through to classic loose-fit tailored trousers. Exuding with effortless style, investing in a pair of low-waisted pants is an easy way to update your wardrobe. If you’re keen to give this look a try, you’ll find an array of low-waisted styles in Supre, Uniqlo, and Cotton On.

4. Holiday shirting
Why save holiday dressing for getaways when you can make everyday a holiday? Say aloha to short-sleeved Hawaiian-style shirts, which are trending for both men and women this season. A warm-weather favourite, this loosely tailored style is full of beach-ready sensibility, yet wearable all season long. Pair with wide-leg pants or tucked into tailored shorts for a more polished look, or wear over relaxed denim for an easy weekend outfit. We’re loving the options available at Universal Store for both men and women!

We’re loving the newest drops to land at Forever New and Ally Fashion, as well as the printed maxi styles in store now at Sussan. Simply pair with luxe slides and your favourite bag to create a go-to outfit you’ll easily wear on repeat all season long.
